Do not share your API key.
Treat your Fish Audio secret key like a password. Do not post it publicly, do not send it in screenshots, and do not share it with anyone else.
This guide helps ApexCast users create and connect a Fish Audio API key, so commentary can be linked cleanly and reliably inside the app.

This walkthrough takes you from opening Fish Audio all the way to pasting the finished secret key into ApexCast. It is written to stay easy to update later if the dashboard changes.
Have ApexCast open, use the right Fish account, and be ready to add a small amount of balance before you create the key.
Most users should be able to complete this flow in around 3 to 5 minutes if the Fish dashboard is behaving normally.
The goal is simple: create the secret key, copy it safely, and paste it into ApexCast without getting lost in the provider UI.
Start by opening the Fish Audio website so you can work through the setup without losing your place in ApexCast.
If you already have a Fish account, sign in and continue. If not, create one first.
After signing in, use the top-left area of the Fish Audio dashboard to switch from Creative mode into Developer mode.
Before generating live API usage, fund the Fish Audio account so the key can actually be used by ApexCast.
For example, adding an amount like $5 is enough to get started and confirm the setup is working.
Make sure the funds are visible before you move on. This confirms the account is ready for API usage.
Stay in Developer mode and navigate to the part of the Fish Audio dashboard where API keys are managed.
Use the secret-key creation flow rather than any temporary or expired credential option.
Choose something clear, like ApexCast, so the key is easy to recognize later.
Select the non-expiring option or checkbox so you do not accidentally break commentary later with an expired key.
Complete the key-creation flow and wait for Fish Audio to reveal the new secret key.
Copy it immediately and keep it private. You may not get the same chance to view the full key again later.
Go back to the ApexCast app and open the Fish Audio API connection flow if it is not already visible.
Save the connection in ApexCast, then continue with the app flow using the newly connected Fish Audio account.
If Fish Audio changes its dashboard and these steps no longer match exactly, return to ApexCast Help & Support for the latest guide. If you still need help after that, use ApexCast support through the Help & Support flow so the instructions can be updated cleanly.
If you need to jump straight into the dashboard again, use the button below. It opens Fish Audio in a new tab.
